Applications

Kayabrid can be used as coupling agent between polypropylene (ma-g-pp) and polar fillers such as glass, wood, mica, talc, natural fiber, carbon fiber, paper, or polar polymers such as polylactic acid or polyamides.

The main applications of Kayabrid are: Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene (GFRPP), Wood-Plastic Composites (WPC) and high-loaded Halogen Free Flame Retardant (HFFR) cables.

Performance

The graph below shows the efficiency of Kayabrid compared to conventional coupling agents.

The performance is confirmed by many customers reporting:

  • 40-50% higher Izod impact strength
  • 50-80% reduction in amount of compatibilizer
